Applications are due January 24 for the Nurse in Washington Internship scholarship! ACHNE is a sponsoring member of the Nursing Community Coalition, which started the Lois Capps Scholarship Fund to offer the opportunity to attend the Nurse in Washington Internship (NIWI) hosted by the Nursing Organizations Alliance. Funding will cover the cost of registration plus hotel and travel expenses for NIWI.
?Applicant must be a nurse or nursing student and a member of one of the Nursing Community’s organizations. Applicant must provide proof of membership.
Priority will be given to applicants from the Honorable Lois Capps’s home state of California.
Application: Candidates must submit a 500-word essay that addresses the following questions:
??What sparked your passion for policy?
If applicable, how have you engaged in policy efforts to advance quality patient care at the state or local level
How do you believe collaborations empower policy change?
The ACHNE Awards Committee is seeking nominations for the following six awards, to be presented at the ACHNE 40th Annual Conference. Click here for more information.
The ACHNE Program Committee invites students to submit abstracts on any topic related to Community or Public Health Nursing to present at the 2018 ACHNE Annual Institute in New Orleans, LA, June 7-9. Posters can be focused on this year's theme of Celebrating the Past, Envisioning the Future.
Baccalaureate and prelicensure graduate nursing students presenters must be registered for the Annual Institute at the time of presentation. Graduate student presenters must be a student member of ACHNE. Membership is not required at the time of submission.
