Announcements

 

2009 Annual Institute at the Crowne Plaza Chicago Metro in Chicago, IL June 11-13, 2009.

Summary Reports (11-07 to 05-08) of officers, committee chairs, task force chairs and liaisons are now posted on the Members Only section under 2008 Reports.  The latest version of our Operations Manual is also posted on the Members Only section of our website.

2008 Annual Institute Abstracts, Presentations, and Photos are now posted on the Members Only section of our website.

ACHNE has linked with the American Public Health Association in promoting the 2008 National Public Health Week, Climage Change: Our Health in the Balance.  ACHNE members are encouraged to incorporate information about the public health effects of climate change in teaching and other activities.

The ACHNE position paper, Disaster Preparedness White Paper for Community/Public Health Nursing Educators, has been approved.

ACHNE has signed onto a Letter of Concern regarding the Proposal to Create an Office of the National Nurse.  Additionally, a list of current signatories can be found at: http://www.nursingworld.org/NationalNurseLetter/

The ACHNE position paper, Graduate Education for Advanced Practice Public Health Nursing: At the Crossroads has been approved.
