The Nominations Committee is meeting regularly to identify and recruit dedicated members for upcoming leadership roles. We are committed to involving active members who share ACHNE’s mission and vision, ensuring that all positions are filled by qualified and passionate leaders.

When you step into a role on the ACHNE Board of Directors, you serve on the national governing body of an impactful organization—joining a dedicated group of leaders who truly "get" community and public health nursing education.

Mentorship remains a core part of our process—we encourage members to view leadership as an opportunity for growth and service. Committee members are available to guide and support those interested in running for office.

Open Positions for the 2027 Election

In 2027, ACHNE members will vote to fill the following positions:

• Vice-President

• Secretary

• General Member-at-Large: Membership Committee Chair

• Northern Region Member-at-Large*

• Midwestern Region Member-at-Large*

• Student Member-at-Large

• Nominating Committee (3 candidates)

* Regional Voting Reminder: Members are only eligible to vote for Regional Members-at-Large (MALs) within the region where they reside. If you live outside the Northern or Midwestern regions, you will skip this portion of the ballot.

• Midwest Region: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Wisconsin

• Northern Region: Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont
